Thought I'd do something a little bit different today, so thought after running 3 miles I'd push to and a bit beyond marathon pace.  Felt good.  Splits:  10:03, 9:52, 9:44, 8:49, 8:46

OK, so maybe I can report a little bit of excitement here on the blog.  The country here is approaching it's first ever democratic presidential election.  The final run off is to take place this Sunday.  Well, campaigning is alive and well and it got out of hand over the weekend.  We had gone downtown on Sunday morning for breakfast and on the way back had to squeeze the car through some crowds that were getting excited and eventually got out of control.  We made it safely back home, but in town was not a good place to be all day.  Guess we need to have some excitement around here once in a while :-)
