I'm married to a wonderful Dutch husband and have 2 girls.  I live and work in West Africa and am home in the states every summer and run the San Francisco Marathon.

Have meetings all week so mileage will be very low and also have a tennis tournament on Saturday. Fun! Oh, and a sort of race on Thursday at the girls school. I think it will be 2K. Not sure.

Nice run this morning. Short and sweet. Tomorrow there's a 'race' day at our girls' school. The will each go 2K and I think I'll be running with the high schoolers and doing a 3K. Should be fun.

Well we had race day at the girls school.  My 11 year old placed 1st for the 6th and 7th grade girls (2000m) and my 9 year old placed 3rd for the 4th grade girls.  I ran 2500m with the girls 10th, 11th, and 12th graders as well as the parents and teachers and I placed 1st!  Got to meet and visit with Ron Freeman for a while.  He was an Olympic Gold medalist in the '68 Olympics in Mexico City in the 400m.  Fun, fun day.

I was really tired today.  I had so much fun at the girls running event and helping out as the kids crossed the finish line that the sun just wore me out.  It was so, so cute seeing the little, little kids (3 years old) running a lap together and crossing the finish line.  What a day to remember.  So, I was pretty tired this morning.  I ran 3 miles nice and easy .  This week still has one day of a weird running week left.  Tomorrow is an all day tennis tournament that I will be playing in.  So, next week I'll get back on schedule with training....
